Harvest Hollow

Harvest Hollow is a farming simulator built for short, repeatable sessions. You plant, tend animals, and slowly befriend a small village of characters who each have their own routines. It is cozy in the best sense and never pressures you to optimise.

The clever bit is the energy-free design: you can do as much or as little in a day as you want. On a phone that means you can check in for two minutes or settle in for half an hour, and both feel worthwhile.

Content runs a little thin after the first in-game year, and we wished for more village events. But for a comfortable, low-stress sim to keep on your home screen, it does the job nicely.
